My daughter doesn’t like “regular” ham. That’s nothing unusual, you would say - children don’t like spinach, Gorgonzola, etc.
But she is a great fan of the best cold cuts - Coppa di Parma, Jamon Serrano, Bündnerfleisch to name but a few.
