Rock Star Baby!
Just saw this on local Munich TV channel - Tico Torres, Bon Jovi drummer, opened a new store selling his label, Rock Star Baby.
Under this label, he markets baby clothes in rock design - black and white with skull and tattoo motifs.
Frankly I wouldn’t buy something like this for my little daughter, I am not quite into these moods, nor would I shell out 30€+ for a baby t-shirt, nevertheless that’s some bright star in the otherwise murky baby-shop firmament in MUC. I mean - really - most of the baby-related shops around here look like if time stopped in 70’s and nothing changed since.
Now I am happy, I know where to shop for baby clothes, I shouldn’t moan. But the reminiscence of our peregrinations, before we found THE places, still gives me creeps.
I’d say that Munichean baby stores are like slow real-world parodies of internet shops - miserable sortiment in-place, what they don’t have (eg almost everything), they could order - often with upfront payment - within 6 weeks. Add to it a month’s time for paying the suppliers, and you get a 10-week zero-interest credit, sweet! :-P
